If I'm in a rush, I often grab some cottage cheese or greek yogurt for breakfast.

You can make a sort of porridge with flaxmeal. I must look up the best recipe, but basically, you pour some hot water over flaxmeal and leave it to absort it and turn porridge-y. You might need to reheat it briefly.

Of course, there is no reason you can't have something like a piece of fish and veg for your breakfast. Or even a thin cut steak. It will keep you going all day.

Bacon, eggs, mushrooms quite nice together. A fry is pretty good once you leave out the carb

Apologies for not having time to find the thread right now, but there were a few oat/protein pancake recipes here somewhere. They looked good!

Banana milkshakes are nice. Whisk 1-2 bananas into milk. Add a teaspoon of honey if desired. It's also good because bananas that are starting to turn are still good in this. The milkshake will be sweeter with those though, so best to leave out the honey. [Starch in bananas turns imnto sugar as they get older/spottier/browner/less green].

This is also good if you are trying to build strength because an insulin spike combined with protein ingestion boosts natural hormone production after fasting. This is a similar effect, though less powerful, as given by a PWO shake. At breakfast you probably have been fasting for 8 hours or more.

Ryvita with hummus is good, or wholewheat bread, if you dont subscribe to the school of thought that wheat should be avoided.

not sure why people are suggesting eggs and oats based on the OP. What about fruit salad (using mainly berries) along with whey or cottage cheese? or maybe grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and an apple afterwards, possibilities are endless.

Make extra dinner the night before and heat it up for breakfast.

I know your sick of oats but a protein shake with them does have a different taste.

1x scoop of MyProtein Impact Whey (I use Impact Blend Deluxe as its a bit thicker)
1 x scoop of MyProtein Instant Oats (can just blend up normal oats)
1 x tablespoon of natural peanut butter
200 - 300 mils of milk or water

Blend up and enjoy. Oats just make it taste thicker like a probiotic yoghurt drink with whole grains.

You could add a banana or some fruit as well. If you need more calories a spoonful of extra virgin oil helps.

+1, just liquidise the oats & eggs with maybe some milk and fry.

I eat a can of salmon for breakfast once or twice a week.. it's one of my favourite breakfasts but I am wary about eating it too often due to chemicals leached from the can, as well as consuming too much meat (i normally eat meat for dinner)
