MSN keeps opening a new tab

Ive used MSN (ie.msn.com) as my homepage for a while now as i don't like Google. Recently it's started opening a new tab everytime i search for anything. Is there anything I can do to stop this and go back to the way it was. For the moment I'm just using bing as my homepage.
