So my sister recently found out shes lactose intolerant, and fructose intolerant, so I was thinking of trying to get her a fodmap diet cookbook for christmas( i know its very early). I was just wondering if any knows of anywhere I could get one. On amazon they didnt really specify fodmap only ibs.
Would really appreciate some help, thanks:)

    Hi,

I see nobody has replied to you yet!! Thats probably because the low FODMAP approach is so new to Ireland, very few doctors and gastroenterologists are even aware of its existance despite it being recommended in the British Society of Gastroenterology last year for the treatment of IBS and other functional bowel disorders. To my knowledge there are only a handful of Irish INDI Dietitans trained from Kings College London to advise susceptible individuals.

To answer your query; Dr Sue Sheppard the Dietitian who origionally researched and developed the FODMAP approach in Australia has written several cook books. Search under Sheppard Works Australia. Just try to get a recent edition because the list of FODMAP friendly foods changed over the summer

Unfortunatley you might not get them shipped in time from OZ!

Yeah, I don't think there are any. In any case it's pretty easy to make fodmap friendly recipes once you know what to avoid.
