    Hi Guys,
    Just built this:
    2 x 8GB-Kit G.Skill PC3-10667U CL9 €33.65
    Samsung SpinPoint F3 1000GB, SATA II (HD103SJ) €47.24
    OCZ SSD Agility 2 120GB 8,9cm (3,5") €150.14
Samsung SH-222AB bare schwarz SATA €16.22
    Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 550W €52.04
Xigmatek Asgard, ATX, ohne Netzteil, schwarz €32.63
    Samsung SyncMaster B2430L €141.36
    Intel Core i5-2500K Box, LGA1155 €182.69
    ASUS P8Z68-V LX, Sockel 1155, ATX, DDR3 €113.21

    Windows 7 ultimate installed.
Going great except for a boot time of 55 seconds or more.
Its not a huge prob for me except the customer thought he would get under 30seconds from looking at youtube etc.

I would have agreed, but i cant figure out whats slowing it down.

Memtest86 is reporting 0 errors and all ram is fine. Cpu is running at 45 degrees and the fan is about 1400rpm which is all normal afaik

What happens on me pressing the powerup button is:
The cpu fan spins for 10secs then stops for 20seconds, then respins again and boots win 7.

Anyone any idea's on what to check?
    Thanks!!

How long does it take from when windows starts ?

If the main delay is before this then not a windows problem :p

Check BIOS settings, change HDD to be first on boot menu, turn off self tests,

    if delay is in windows
Make sure you have loaded the correct chipset and harddrive controller drivers
