Opinion on this matter is ALWAYS going to be biased. For full disclosure I'm a TCD student myself.

What you need to look at is a number of criteria and average it all out.

First look at the Leaving Cert points required for the courses. I'm not 100% sure but I think that TCD has (on average) the highest points of all colleges. Whichever college has that has the best students as they start.

LC points aren't a very good way of testing intelligence but it's the best we've got.

Next you'd probably look at the World University rankings.

All of these show TCD as being the best university in Ireland, usually with a very large lead over UCD and others. Again their methods are subject to some scrutiny but their tables are well respected and it would suggest that not only does TCD take in some of the best students but that they're then also kept to a high academic standard.

Finally, you'd also want to factor in things like employability, maybe IQ and any other factors.

I don't think there are figures on any of these so we can't take them into account.

So with LC points and Rankings it does show TCD as the smartest but more evidence might contradict that.

    The smell of fake tan?

Even though I meant it as a joke, that was exactly the smell that came to mind when I was typing.

your a child  this isnt a troll. you are so stuck up you dont even know what all of dublin is saying about you

    Matt23,

You have made an excellent point. In fact, you are the voice of reason I have been craning to hear. A true prophet of our generation. You have made me realise the last 3 years and 3 weeks have been a complete waste of my time. I am here by dropping out of the scorned university and dedicating my life to making sure I meet the desired requirements of "all of dublin". Hopefully, I will soon feel that sense of accomplishment and self-satisfaction that you obviously have.
I would appreciate any suggestions you could offer me, in this the defining hour of my life? I've already collected many Dutch Gold cans and been practising spitting on the pathway. I crave further guidance as I do not trust my own instincts, which have not served me well thus far.

    Yours gratefully,

    StrawberryJazz
