Muliania with his 100th cap. What a player. Some teary eyed Argie's during their anthem.

Anticipating some more classic Nigel lines here! :pac:

As much as I love NZ Rugby...

    VAMOS ARGENTINA!

The sheer enthusiasm of Ali Williams when he's doing the Haka is brilliant.

C'mon Argentina.. don't be intimidated. The All Blacks have only won the Cup once..... over two decades ago.

I remember the 2003 NZ/France semi very well. That was epic!

Bad mistake by Slade, not going to do his confidence a lot of good.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,318 ✭✭✭Fishooks12

NZ are playing like any other team without Carter, wayy more kicking

    Semi-final in 99?

Because Australia beat them in 03.

Sorry YES! Was up early :p. I was living with three New Zealand girls in London in 99 and they went absolutely ballistic. They'd planned where they were going to watch the final weeks in advance - aust v nz.

It was rough living with them after NZ lost.

Suffice to say they did not go out to watch the final.

NZ looking suitably nervous. It's WC knock out time, after all. Several knock ons, fumbles and kicks on the full already.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,889 ✭✭✭tolosenc

The previous ruck should have been a penalty against McCaw.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,307 ✭✭✭ironingbored

    Ledesma is a legend.

Surely NZ could have called up Cruden or McAlister.

Gotta love the name Santiago Phelan.

Nice try - Slade looks like he's in trouble though.

Wow! What a tackle, no try.

You have to feel for them. The pressure must be immense with all the fans there!

I normally think Hugh Cahill is okay but he's talking a load of crap today, some things he says making him sound like an idiot.

    Nonu is just class.

Nigel Owens letting Mcaw and the kiwis away with murder at the break-down

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,889 ✭✭✭tolosenc

First actual game NZ have had so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,307 ✭✭✭ironingbored

Conrad Smith always looks as if he's on skates when running. Such guile.

Argentina are doing well wrapping up SWB.

What is with the cheesy music in all the quarter finals? It's rugby not a bloody wedding!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,592 ✭✭✭GerM

NZ are lucky they got Argentina. If this was one of the teams that doesn't fear them, they could be in trouble. They're performing just as they always do in the knock outs when the pressure starts to come on. Mistakes, bad decisions and trying to force it. As it is, Argentina won't be able to rattle them and they'll pull away as the game wears on.

Whole WC as far as I know, it's awful.

Argies are gonna be shagged after 60 minutes, they're having to put in a lot of tackles. They're defending brilliantly but they can't keep this up.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,318 ✭✭✭Fishooks12

I counted 3 players in from the side for NZ when Argentina scrambled back and no penalty

McCaw, on his knees at the side after being cleared out, reaching back in with his hands. Gets a slap for it from Argentina. That's pathetic refereeing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,264 ✭✭✭✭Fireball07

Oh...what an awful awful awful pass.

It cannot be described how bad that was, might as well just give the All Blacks the try.

EDIT: Get the penalty and going for the 3 points...I think they'd have got 7 if they went for it.

Argentina +27 looks decent on pp, they're doing much better than I thought.

The AB's get away with murder. Masters of flopping over while defending their own rucks too not to mention not rolling away and side entry on opposition ball.

    Argies will really miss Lobbe.

a try for NZ before the half and floodgates could open... hope not because I'm on an Australia +1 and Argentina +27 double

(yeah yeah after timing and all that)

    CHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOKEE!

Still think they'll win by a bit but have to laugh. NZ are so unable to handle the pressure it's funny.

For the second time in the tournament, NZ are behind...
