We have 2 proper RB's in the squad and Jones, as good as he is going forward, isn't totally ready positionally yet.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Jones but Micah Richards is better in that position IMO. I don't think he's even started a game under Capello though. Strange, but Capello is out of his depth as an international manager so I'm surprised.

He was in the U-21 squad and had to pull out, he wasn't considered for tonight's game.

As good as Kelly has been, Jones is a superior player to him in any position and I'm sure he'll show that tonight.

Afaik, Kelly is naturally a CB also.
