Hi all! New to the forum. I have an ac30cc2 that has a strange problem. Its about 4 years old and recently developed an issue. When the amp is on for say, ten to15 minutes sometimes longer, it will just quit. No sound and evverything is still lit up. If I switch it to standby and right back to on it works again. Any ideas?

Apparently it's a very common problem with the Chinese Ac30s. The thing heats up so much that it burns out the standby switch. My one just stopped working altogether but from what you're saying it could be the same thing just less severe...

As far as I understand, because of the rectifier valve it's safe to turn on with the standby switch down and you won't blow anything - ie the standby switch isn't all that necessary and it's very often completely taken out of the circuit. For the time being, just leave the standby permanently at the "on" position. If that doesn't work take it to someone!
