The 23-year-old paedophile was allegedly held down and tortured by Michael Parr and Nathan Mann, who are said to have covered his mouth and ignored his screams.
He was disembowelled with the blade, which was believed to have been embedded in plastic.
The jail source said: "It was barbaric. Mitchell's body was discovered shortly after breakfast.
"He was in a terrible state. His killers had somehow managed to overpower him, keep him down and keep him quiet before disembowelling him."
Parr, 32, and 23-year-old Mann allegedly targeted Harrison because of his sickening history of child sex offences.

I honestly think they should bring back gladiatorial combat for violent criminals, reduces the numbers of dangerous criminals and you could make a good reality show too. Put 10 inmates in one room with a weapon at each corner, baseball bat, knuckle duster etc... only one man is allowed leave... the reward could be a burger or some chocolate, then they have to do it again at the end of the week, it could be a Saturday thing, would defo watch it over X factor.

People like that should be just put down, its obvious prison isnt going to rehabilitate them. They wont be getting out (if they do then why bother with prison at all). So why not end their pointless violent lives and be done with it ?

or we could make them watch x factor for 12 hours every day...I reckon after a week half of them would have topped themselves.The other half would have gone crazy.

Nobody deserves to have that happen to them, the reason we have a justice system is to prevent brutal vigilanti violance. Without that all law and order breaks down but hey, that's not populist, hang them all by their entrails, that's what I say!
