any good mechanic to check a used car in carlow?

    i am looking to buy a 08 Passat from a private seller in carlow.
    i have to drive there from dublin as i am interested in the car.
    i am no good in checking the engine and other stuff of car, and hence i would require assistance of a good mechanic who can run his diagnostics on the car.
    any suggestions from Carlow folks here?
