I moved all the data from all my drives to folders on my new 3TB external USB3

I know that about 1/3 of the files are duplicates.
in windose tried windirstat and winmerge, no joy...

anyone know a good/reliable 'nix GUI/bash tool for listing/deleting duplicate files?

    thanks.

Would rsync not do it for you?
It has options to mirror from one folder to another and delete what doesn't match up. I'd advice practicing a little with it first so that you're completely clear on what the command switches do or you could delete that which you don't want to.....

Also look at fslint, it's in the ubuntu repos usual apt-get should install it for you. Cleans duplicates, temporary files, empty directories etc.
Was coded by an Irish guy too!

Oops. I just checked and it was fslint I used, not fdupes.
