What more can I say? Its winner takes all and its going to be absorbing. I personally hope the scots come in to some good form and THRASH the English. I am bordering on leglessly drunk right now so im hoping this game can keep me awake.

What do Scotland need to do to qualify? Surely it's beyond them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,729 ✭✭✭Pride Fighter

Scotland have been too lateral, they need to drive forward and get some line breaks to have a chance.

I think England will win comfortably.

just to beat england by 8 points as that will put them through and england out based on head to head results

While I hope the Scots win this morning I fear they lost their chance of qualifying when they threw away the game against the Argies last Sunday. 7 changes to the Scots team by Robinson sounds extreme to say the least!

Setanta sticking the boot into Martin Johnson and his cynical cheats. Love it! Sadly, I'm finished night shift and need to get some sleep before 2 footie matches on Sky later. Meanwhile C'MON SCOTLAND!!!

This is Scotland's World Cup - here's hoping that Jonny and England run away with it. :D

I fancy Scotland - they have a group of bloody good players.

    Wilkinson!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I'll never forget the drop goal that saw England beat Australia in the World Cup in 2003.

26 seconds to go and the jammy fecker kicked a drop goal.

    Pain, it was.:(

Looking forward to this match... although I think the outcome is obvious. But then... ya never know!

Had to feel terrible for Jackson there. The tears as he came off said it all.

Cole slips his bind, pen Scotland. 3-0.

From the BBC: "Scotland need a winning margin of eight or more points to have any chance of progressing beyond Pool B and effectively knocking England out of the tournament." Which is possible. though it hasn't happened by that margin since 1986 (AFAIK).

A good start is half the battle. Scots doing well.

Scary to think this is the same Mike Blair that was nominated for WPOTY. Shadow of the player he was.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,218 ✭✭✭Cypher_sounds

    Owens:rolleyes: 6-0

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,373 ✭✭✭ongarite

Well, I've never seen that before! Before the replay was available, Parks might have lost out there.

Scots should be a man up by this stage, England very cynical and should have been booked by now.

Great start by Scotland but their inability to score a try will probably lose them this game.

Another miss from Johnny. Silly to go for it maybe.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,592 ✭✭✭GerM

Johnny 0/2. Despite the ITV commentators banging on about how difficult those kicks were, they were both kickable. Wilkinson's indifferent WC continues. Has either team had possession in the opposition 22 after 24 minutes?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 35,514 ✭✭✭✭efb

    0/3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,951 ✭✭✭SuprSi

Now that's an awful miss. Very poor from Wilko
