Airport Express or Rangemax?

    Vista x64bit

    UPC 25mb BB connection.

I have a UPC modem connected by cable to two computers in my office. The connection is superb & I get 25mb download pretty much continuously.

My problem is with the wireless bit of the modem. I use it to receive radio on my hifi downstairs. Depending on the station it can be superb (AVRO Klassiek) or bog average (BBC Radio 3)

I'd like to give my modem a hand by using either an Airport Express or a Rangemax.

    1. Which one should I choose?

    2. Where must it be sited? I do have an Ethernet socket in the same room as the hifi (I don't want to run a cable across the room to the hifi) Can it be connected to this? If it was discrete enough I could live with it. Or does it have to be connected to the modem in the office upstairs?

Also, I understand that these products use different wifi standards. Is one better?

    Thanks.

    D.
