You'll need to do some serious grovelling.

If a nice restaurant will do the trick then go for it but something tells me that may not be enough

You think she wants food ????

Tell you what you do..... You bring that wallet containing the restaurant money and you add more money to it. And then you bring her to any, and every shop she wants to go to. You patiently wait outside the changing rooms of each and every shop and you PAY for anything and EVEYTHING she wants.

You never know, you might get a BJ out of it ;)

You HAVE to work, or you could hae avoided it. I fthe former, telling the unrerasonable woman to sod off! If the former, just admit your wrong and apologise. Women loves apologies.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Tell her your dying of cancer, then after she's cried and wailed for a bit tell her it was a joke. She'll be so relieved your not dying of cancer she will forget about you missing her birthday. Problem solved.

Well you knew it was her birthday and that you were starting a new job. You should have taken her out before the shít hit the fan.

Sure not to worry. You'll be single soon and wont have to listen to her moan anymore.

    What age is your girlfriend?
    And what age are you?

Tell her to cop the fk on. It's only a birthday and she has one every year.

I'm assuming (wrongly?) she's over eighteen? She's an adult now. Tell to her to start acting like one.

    You're in work ffs

How long have you got the girlfriend? ...... and which are you more attached too right now? Weigh up the pro's n con's ;)

Are you in work right now? might be worth holding tight, the day is nearly over!

Just be honest and explain your predicament and tell her to clear her schedule at X time in the near future when you're both off and you'll make it up to her.

She may be disappointed but if she can't understand that then dump her on her birthday. Cos hahaha.

I'm really sorry.............life dealt you a bum flush there so to speak.

look, I wont lie having a penis is probably the greatest thing ever but you've just got to get on with it.........its not the setbacks that will define your life but how you handle them.

then postpone im sure she would understand. And if not there are loads of women looking for hardworking individuals.

    ah, yeah, this.

if you knew you were going to be working, you probably should've done something before your shift, if you didn't then fair enough, there's nothing you could've done. but like seriously, don't grovel. apologise for not being able to do something, but tell her you'll do something great at the weekend (or your next day off) when you have the time to make the most of it, rather than before/after work.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 126 ✭✭Buddinplant

totally agree with amdublin and other like minded people.

you only got the job, so she should be considerate and not be causing you more grief that will only add to your otherwise busy day of ensuring you don't feck up this opportunity at employment.

if shes a sensible girl, she'll get over it, if not, well your a glutton for punishment.

if your still aching to make it up to her, don't go overboard or she'll develop association problems with whinging and winning.

Flowers (Simple, small choice of flowers from a florist, not tescos/supervalu bouquets), nice dinner ( on a tuesday would be better, cheaper and its a slower night in restaurants so better service and less other groveling souls around to compete with) or you could cook dinner, and be all over the top with the description of dinner before you throw down a plate of koka noodles with a fried egg on top.

Head out after work for a few pints and spend the money that you would have spent on the girlfriends present, buying a dirty young one a rake of drink...then take said young one out the back and knock the back out of her...

OP have a weekend away somewhere romantic.
