South Park is back tomorrow night with a lot of questions after that mid season finale. Looking forward to seeing where they take it

this is pretty interesting too, a little "behind the scenes" of how the show is made, they give a few hints about where they're going for the rest of the season too

Damn, it's amazing how they can make such good shows in only six days of work.....

Now I just know people are going to moan about the
    Matrix parody
    . :p

Hope to hear Parker and Stone's commentary down the line for 1507/1508. Parker's especially.

New episode on Comedy Central UK on Friday 14th. October - Ass Burgers :D

Not really a funny episode but an interesting one. I'm glad they continued the storyline thread from 1507. I would've liked to have seen them
try something new for a while (much like they did with Kenny's death; getting a new friend - Tweak sucks it put Butters in a more prominent spot) instead of immediately saying "ah fúck it" and saying we're not changing immediately.

    Cartman's b-storyline was a fun diversion though.

    So does this mean they're
not making ANY changes to the show, despite acknowledging and giving out to the fans saying the show's gotten stale and formulaic? Bit bummed at that.

that was the first ep of south park in a long time I actually ****ing loved. I was sitting on the couch, laughing out loud for a good chunk of it. Loved the matrix stuff, and the whiskey. the cartman burgers was the weakest bit I thought, but the way they brought it all together in the end was brilliant, even if it made absolutely no sense in any possible way.

Well Stan does seem to have developed a drinking problem.

My thinking aswell. Season's been a mixed bag so far. Hope Season 15 is just them figuring out what they want to do with the show like Season 2 was.

I see comments on the GameTrailers forum saying they thought it was hilarious. Fair enough, but one person saying it was "
Obvious that fatt ass was using his ass.
    " ...

Best part for me was Stan's
    "I love you." exchange
    .

    i loved when stan
swung into the fast food managers secret meeting, pissed as a fart, let off a few rounds and then collapsed on the ground
    nearly choked on my drink

Pretty hit and miss episode but interesting nonetheless

Nearly fell off the couch watching the drunk/matrix fight scene!

The Randy/Stevie Ray Vaugn press conference was funny too

anyone see the making of special, 6 days to air? Really interesting insight into how an episode is constructed. I felt it could have been longer and a bit more in depth (and drop stuff like a look back on their oscars appearance)..

also never knew that Bill Hader is on the writing staff!

    what a hero

Yeah the making of special was good but I agree it's a pity it wasn't longer.

2 very good episodes to start off the season, hopefully it stays like that!

The second episode had my full attention for the last couple of minutes, very intense stuff I found in the respect that I was curious to see how they were going to resolve Stan's cynicism. They've added a new twist though with Stan having a drinking problem, dark territory, will be interesting to see where they take it.

By the looks of the latest episode they're taking it nowhere

I'm not so sure, I was thinking wtf are they doing re-setting everything, each moment in that episode was like how are they going to resolve or explain this? Stan is still fcked up and has in fact become worse, he's now got alchohol dependency. The episode didn't end on the usual irreverent note, it was fairly subdued indicating that there's more to come.

Wait, I'm guessing you're watching it on Paramount Comedy?
The new episode that aired in the US is about border control. Stan is normal and back to being buddies with Kyle.

    Spoilers I guess.

I watched it on comedy central, I thought that was the first episode of the season because they showed it before the stan episode, I thought they were doing a Terence and Philip style episode as they did with the Cartman's dad episode by deflecting expectations. If not then yeah that does suck.

    Thats needed in SP.
I genuinely was doubled over laughing a few times at that episode

they seem to be moving back slightly towards the stype of earlier south park, less out and out parodies of news events and more slightly random weird funny stuff. so long as they still stick one or two straight news/current event episodes in a season I think this is great

How many poo episodes have we had this season? I've counted at least 4.

    Bass to mouth.

:pac::pac: Laughed really hard a few times in the latest ep; thought it was back on form. Overall a really solid episode. That said I marked out seeing
Lemmiwinks and Co and when Mackey threw Eric under the bus.

Agreed. With a few exceptions (The Asian Diversity episode, and maybe Crack Baby Basketball) it's been a fairly weak season, but Bass to Mouth was definitely back on form, probably one of the better episodes in recent years in general as opposed to just this season. The call back to the earlier Lemiwinks episode was a nice touch and the wordplay on Wikileaks quite clever. Shows that there is still life left in this series after all.

I didn't think it was that funny, I just thought the Cartman moments were by the numbers a bit too much, although the last bit at the end was somewhat amusing

Just watched the last 6 or so episodes in one sitting. While I don't think any of them would make it in to a top ten list they have been solid with some fantastic moments and I do love the ridiculously insane episodes as opposed to those current event ones. Or at least if they're doing current events it needs the off the wall twists like crab people.
The self reflection at times in the last episode before the break was a nice touch and I'm glad to see them at least show their audience that they do hear their feedback even if they don't end up changing a thing.

    Ha, that was brilliant.

Stephen Sondheim is challenging you to a bro off

It was meh for the most part but the last 5 minutes were the funniest of the season yet. Loved the Spiderman the musical reference. And the 'book of mormon' plug

I thought it was great from start to finish.

I turned to my younger sis today and asked if she had seen the recent south parks. She said no and I told her she had to see the most recent one it was hilarious. Her response, "Was Randy in it?"

    He is just that awesome.

new episode today was very funny. great pisstake of the occupy movement.
cartman paying everyone to come to the funeral of his toy was hilarious!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,186 ✭✭✭Niles

Agreed 1% was very entertaining. But possibly one of the most bizarre plots ever seen on television...

Enjoyed it though, not as good as the Wikileaks episode but one of season 15's better episodes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,182 ✭✭✭nyarlothothep

1% episode was quite good, the second half is a lot stronger and fairly respectable in terms of quality, not as good as early SP but definately up there with mid to late SP. The best episode out of 15 is the Musical episode, the man time song is amusing, the spider man incident and the vegan kid giving Shelly a flower before running off in that funny way, Elton John and his friends all being bros, its very good imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,426 ✭✭✭Roar

Does that mean we only have to pay 1/16th attention to you?

    Best line of the episode!

It was a bit all over the place but still funny. Kyle taking Natalie Portman out to dinner just so she would open her worm hole was hilarious!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,818 ✭✭✭Minstrel27

Loved it. It sums up the history channel perfectly. It's not a patch on what it used to be sadly.

Hopefully we'll get another episode as good as bass to mouth.

They gotta have the cataterfish in more episodes doing ass to trout

    Great fun.

Green Lantern World: "...and this planet over here that nobody really cares about." :D

Pretty old school Season 3 style SP, I thought.
