    Hi All,

JUst wondering if anyone knows of good fitness classes, it's for my wife. She used to do body sculpt class in YMCA on Aungier St but it isn't continuing anymore. Seemed to be a good tough workout.

She's trying to replace it with something else - we live in Ranelagh, so any location from town out, ideally a Mon / Tue around 7-8pm.

Just thought I'd check here to see if I could get any info for her...

    Thanks
    Simon

my gf did the same class in aungier street before she moved to milltown. now goes to a class called bodypump in LA Fitness. You have to be a member to take the class but all classes are free when you join so there's spinning and other stuff too.

not a bad gym either. used to be a member there myself till the rugby club got a weights room.

Thanks for that. Sounds good, but she doesn't really want to join a gym - she does running etc, it's just to have one class per week to go to that she can pay per visit / for set of ten or whatever way it works, without having to join anywhere!

    Thanks
    Simon

Maybe try one of those bootcamps.

Seem to be lots of them around anywhere there's a bit of open space.

I see them on the seafront in Clontarf, Fairview Park, Grand Canal Square

Engergie Fitness in Rathfarnham have two classes on a Monday evening that can be done pay as you go I think, Rebounding (mini trampolines great for fitness and toning) at 18:30 and Energie Lift at 19:30 which is very like Pump

You can pay for 6 saturdays in a row with some of the bootcamps, works out as 8 quid.

If she has lunchtime free on a tuesday, Kyuzo MMA have a conditioning class @ 1pm. I've done bodypump myself, and Barrys class @ Kyuzo has much the same stuff - squats, rows, pressing, push ups, pull ups etc. I'd highly recommend it! Pay as you go also!

I used to do the Aungier St classes too then I moved around the corner to the Iveagh Club (2 minute walk away from YMCA) and do the Body Pump Class there Tues evenings now with a guy called Michael - I can recommend them!
