Specialized Sirrus Max Tyre Size

    Hi,
    I recently bought a Spesh Sirrus hybrid for the mrs. It was fairly wrecked and need a bit of TLC. It came with 700x28C tyres but the back tyre is in very bad nick so I'm going to replace it. The Mrs has a thing about skinny tyres and she originally wanted a mountain bike but I think this is a far better bike for her as she will only be doing road cycling for fitness.
    Will it be possible to put 700x32C or 700x35C tyres on this bike? I was thinking of something like these http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=32825

    Yes a Sirrus should take 32c but the 35c tyres might not fit very well.

    Do you need more than 28c tyre ?

    The Mrs would prefer a bigger tyre with some grip and there are some very good offers on CRC at the moment for hybrid tyres.
    She has it in her head that a thin slick tyre is going to puncture easily.
    I think I'll go for those Michelin 32's.

    Larger tyre will be more comfortable and slower but not necessarily less puncture-prone. I think a 28 would be more than enough.
    High pressure helps keep punctures away, pump to max on tyre wall.
