This isn't a food diary, I just want to know if this sounds like an ok diary and wondering will I lose weight this way.

Breakfast: Banana, peach and low fat yogurt.

Lunch: 2 large egg omelette, small side salad.

Dinner: Grilled chicken or fish, small tin of beans and lots of veggies.

    All feedback welcome :)

How long is a piece of string?

The above means nothing at all really unless we know your height, weight, age, gender etc, how active you are, how much you're looking to lose and so on.

From the offset though it looks like very little food to sustain any healthy human adult. There's very very little calories in what you mentioned above.

Have you read the stickies here? I'd start there. Knowledge is power. If you cannot sustain the above diet for the rest of you're life, then change it to something more sustainable, stick to foods that are close to the source and do not be a nazi about your food regime.

Thanks for the reply, what would you add or take away from it?

Not intending to sound like a complete **** here, but did you read my first reply in full?

Also, what's your current diet like?

Wow you do sound like a complete **** :) you realise that replying to a question isn't compulsory? Usually just if you have genuine advise etc. Thanks anyway!

metamorphosis was very helpful in his/her reply but you ignored all the valid points/questions.

As I said "all feedback welcome", I just have no time for rudeness. I asked a fair question in my second post but I can see smart answers and rudeness is what to expect from here.

You got feedback from metamorphosis - as he pointed out you need to give information about your height, weight, gender etc. so that an estimation of what your intake should be, and then you can be advised on what it actually is.

You didn't address any of that and instead asked should foods be added or taken out - that can't be answered until you provide the above info.

There's no rudeness and no smart answers - it's up to you how you'd like the thread to proceed now.

I didn't really mean to sound like a smart arse, which is a prob on the internet forum when its hard to decipher tone.

At the end of the day, the food first listed is deffo not adequate for an adult, too little cals, i reckon about 800kcals. A sedentary average height women lying in bed with little daily activity all day needs about 1200 alone for bodily functions. I'd say make the brekkie better, ditch the low fat yogurt thats not healthy for you anyway if you look at the ingredient list. get full fat plain greek yogurt, chop your fruit in and maybe a fistful ofnuts/seeds like macademias, walnuts, seeds etc.

Lots of greens and variety of veggies with that salad - dont keep it a boring old lettuce salad. Try every type of veggie out there. 2 eggs does not an omlette make! Another one one or two, make it worth the meal. A 2 egg omlette is only a snack :)

Again id read the stickies at the top of this forum. I really cannot seeing anybody eating that food only everyday of the week for a long time. You'd crack fast!

    Hope that helps a little.

Sorry I'm pretty new here and have seen so many smart arsed replies over on AH that I jumped on the offense. That's a really helpful post thanks very much.

I have been eating roughly just that the last few days and been grand but I realise it probably isn't enough to sustain, will have a good look at the stickies when I get a chance-currently have a crying baby in arms- thanks again.
