We were looking at two new benches for Ironside and have narrowed it down to two choices (any other suggestions are welcome) We were wondering which people would choose

    Option 1 5.big.jpg

    Option 2 spec_predl_011.jpg

    Opinions??

    Option 2 looks better.

    I'd choose Option 1.

Having lifted on both, I rate the ER style combo rack as being better, and it's more versatile.

You've pretty much got the Forza bench there with the one yis have from the GPC comp.

Spotter bars are a good idea. Some times there's no-one to spot me in the place I train in. The J hooks look shallower on the first one. All the pros will like that.

Actually, the J hooks in the second option are very shallow, and the bottom part of the hook is a metal/plastic cylinder which rotates to make centring the bar easier, and doesn't damage the bar like the Forza rack would.

Add that to the ease of adjustment using the levers on the back and there's really only one choice in my book.

I like the look of option 2, with the fancy bits.

    Option 1 is red though.

    Option 2.
    Spotter bars Dave.
You know what people are like, at least give them the option of not killing themselves.

By the look of it, I think the spotter bar heights are adjustable (notice the wee pin).

Option 2 gets my vote too. But you should buy both of them and give me the one you dont want :)

I have to say we were leaning towards option 2 ourselves for the same reasons mentioned above spotter bars versatility and it looks like a harder pad which = more tightness and more huge-mongus benches which is always nice.

There's been more 1,000lb+ presses done on a Forza bench than any other... I'd say it'd be able to handle anything Ironside threw at it and do a good job :)
