    Hi everyone,

Back in July, I started going to the gym and posted this:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=73308545

I'm 8 weeks into it now so thought I'd give an update.

There has been a definite increase in my core strength when using weights machines and in general endurance when doing things like plank back extension. I have also greatly improved my stamina and ability with CV stuff.

I have lost nearly all of the fat from my stomach and while my chest and arms look better I don't think I've built much muscle and what worries me is that I've gone from 10 stn 13 to just 10 stn 1. Although nobody has said I look thiner and I think that its due to the fat being burned on my stomach, I wanted to put on weight, not lose it.

My average diet looks like this:

Breakfast: wheetabix with fruit and tea

    Snack: fruit and protein shake

Lunch: brown bread chicken/tuna/turkey sandwich with popcorn, fruit and tea

    Snack: fruit, tea, 2 biscuits

Dinner: chicken/fish with sweet potato or pasta and veg

Snack: tin of tuna and tea

What can I do to improve my diet? I'm meeting with the trainer in the gym this week to work out a new programme. I want to introduce free weights into my workout. Should I reduce my cardio? Thanks
