Blackburn: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Dann, Givet, Hoilett, Lowe, Nzonzi, Rochina, Formica, Yakubu. Subs: Bunn, Olsson, Grella, Petrovic, Vukcevic, Roberts, Hanley.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Andre Santos, Song, Arteta, Ramsey, Gervinho, van Persie, Arshavin. Subs: Fabianski, Walcott, Djourou, Gibbs, Chamakh, Benayoun, Coquelin.

    Referee: Andre Marriner (England)

I say 2-1 to the Arsenal

C'mon the Gunners! Any decent streams lads?

Happy to see Santos starting. Hopefully Young will get a chance at some stage too, good to have Song and Gervinho back too, Song was pretty good against Dortmund.

I'm shocked Yakubu (who has played no football this season) is starting ahead of Jason Roberts tbh.

I just realised Blackburn signed Simon Vukcevic this summer. I just seen his name amongst the subs.

I have a feeling he will be a big player for Blackburn this season. I remember him playing against Ireland a while back for Montenegro and he looked a cut above the rest.

He could be a very good signing. Keep an eye out for him.

Hoping for a good convincing win from the Gunners. With Ramsey having a good game cause ive been disappointed with him so far.

    COME ON THE GUNNERS!

Nice to see Santos there though. Still, Park should be on the bench ahead of Chamakh.

Arshavin might have been able to do something with that ball coming across if he wasn't dead on his feet there

I thought it the other night and it's the same now, Arsenal looking far more up for it and happier than I've seen them in a while.

    Get in Gervinho! :)

Away fans are often more vocal especially at places like Ewood park

Possibly the worst comb over in the history of ever...

Never seen anyone ever try a comb over with dreads.

Anyway, there's no reason why Arsenal shouldn't win comfortably here. Blackburn just don't know what to do with the ball in midfield.

Samba won't get a better chance than that.

Glad they didn't score though. I can't remember a club becoming so unlikeable so quickly.

Massive chance for Samba there.

Gotta say, the result during the week seems to have done Arsenal's confidence the world of good.

If Arsenal want it, they can hand out a drubbing here, Artetea is really making things tick for them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,047 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    Great save

Arsenal have really missed Gervinho. They'll do well when Wilshere gets back.

That and a team that seems to have strength in depth and experience all of a sudden, the world's turned upside down.

Easy to find form against a team this awful. I'd say Blackburn fans would give their left arm for Hughes to come back, at least they fought hard under him.

Damn you Yakubu, great finish in fairness.

It looks like Givet is trying to get a part in Hang-

    YAKUBU!

Yeah, Givet needs to get rid of that beard.
