O/H has been diagnosed with arthritis in knee.
Friend has advised him to get an exercise bike as best form of exercise. Would this be beneficial or advisable? Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm well under 50 but I've been told by the doc that's I've arthritis in both my knees, I've always found the stronger my leg muscles the less often my knees are sore. I cycle everywhere and it is good but what I find better is resistance exercise, with this it's best to get someone who knows what they're taking about to show you how to do it properly.
