It gets better as you go along, you'll easily finish it in one sitting though.

I know - apple products are really bad like :pac:

OS: MAC OS X 10.6.6 or higher
Processor: Intel Core Duo Processor (2GHz or better)
Memory: 2GB
Hard Disk Space: At least 7.6 GB of Space
Video: ATI Radeon 2400 or higher / NVIDIA 8600M or higher

that's the spec you need for the Mac anyways... what model of a mac have you got... does it reach that spec??

Yep, I'm all up to spec except the graphics card, I have the Intel GMA X3100.

I'm installing Portal on a windows laptop that was bought a few months back, see if that works.

games often don't like integrated graphics cards... probably what happened with the Mac....

Does anyone how large is the download? Install is 5gb but I would expect the download to be smaller.

Would you need an external controller to play this game? I can't imagine playing it with the touchpad on my Mac... would a USB mouse be enough?

any cheap usb mouse will be perfect for the game - even better than a joypad imo.. anything at all would be better than using the touchpad

EVEN better than a joypad??? There's no comparison. A joypad would make Portal extremely difficult due to the nature of some of the timing and accuracy of movement you've to pull off.

I've played it on the PS3 as well as on the PC - it's not that much of an issue but the mouse is nicer

The PS3 version would be designed to use a joypad, the PC version is not. Like most FPS style games on the PC, there is no comparison to a mouse and keyboard.

I'm trying to register but it won't let me, it keeps asking me to verify that I am human by inputting the letters/numbers listed. I have tried to with caps on and off and it won't register....anyone any ideas?

There was an independent release based on Portal that came out a while back, for anyone who enjoyed Portal, this version was much better, way more challenging. Worth having a scope around for it if you're interested.

If it's two separate ones leave a space between the two.
