Hope New Zealand ease down. I backed Japan on the handicap arg. My only problem is that New Zealand look like they want to score 10-12 tries :(

You gotta feel for Japan, they're being completely outclassed.

I don't think NZ will go to sleep in the second half like they did against Tonga.

Nonu is having a stormer but then again the Japanese defence out wide is hopeless.

They're being outclassed, but they still look like they have made great progress in the past decade. Was expecting worse to be honest!

Kirwan hads to rest his star players for the winnable games Tonga and Canada
the scrums are crumbling now but with places on the line the all blacks will not relent on the pressure

exactly this. The line is now -72, there is definitely still value there on the NZ side!

The Japanese openside looks very handy. Leitch.

  • Corey Jane is going to get an absolute Bollocking for that

TBH this is a completely different team (excluding 2-3 players) from the one that gave France a scare. Think about when Ireland put out their C team vs New Zealand (i think last year?), that was an absolute rout. Japan are in that position considering their depth. Would've loved to see Japan have a go with a full team even if the score would probably still look embarassing (40ish-5?)

EDIT: oh oh here comes the bill

  • What a pair of subs to be able to bring on.

SBW gonna get involved hugely imo

He has made a few mistake tbh. It would be a massive blow to NZ if Carter were to pick up a serious injury.

    Maybe why hes been subbed

  • Jane instantly taken off. Taking that ball on the volley is gonna cost him

Sonny Bill Williams on for Jane, looks like they want to try him on the wing. Henry hinted in the press that the management would do this.

    SBW breaks his duck

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

SBW under the posts, picked a good line and it was a walk in after that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

52-0 now. SBW gets his first.

Edit: how was that not a Japanese line-out. It came off a Kiwi foot didn't it?
