    Hi,
    Based in Co. Galway.
Have been getting BBC, ITV and C4 from an aerial (via a deflector i presume?).
Presumably this will no longer be available once UK turns off analogue, so i am looking into possibilities.

I have read some of the posts on here, particularly this one, but it all seems like a foreign language to me.
Basically, i am wondering if i can get

    1. a satellite dish that will pick up UK freesat? It would be great to get recommendations for a final product rather than a dish, decoder, cables etc that i would have to fit myself and try to set up.

    2. as we will have to switch over to Saorview soon also, i was wondering if some of the new equipment will be able to either pick up the saorview signal and/or decode it. Or will i need seperate irish and UK decoders?

I found this online from satellitetv.ie, which seems to do it all, but i think that my current aerial will probably be able to pick up the digital signal (it currently picks up RTE 1& 2, TV3 and TG4), and also it claims to have a combo PVR receiver, whereas this thread seems to indicate that such a thing is not possible. Any advice?
    Anybody dealt with satellitetv.ie?

I also found this from satellite.ie, but they say that this won't be compatible with digital teletext system. That doesn't sound very future-proof?
Will the lack of digital teletext be a problem with the other system listed above also?

Thanks in advance, i know that the questions are really simplistic, but i know very little about this area.

Watty will guide you better but im using a maplin set up, theyre still in galway city arent they? easy to set up yourself for the freesat channels and more, but the freesat ones are the only ones of use (eg. BBC C4 E4) uness you like praying at 5 in the morning that kinda thing.
