Has anyone here done any research with regards fasting for weightloss, I like many people initially thought the idea of fasting was bad and no one should do it but at the end of the day its just another way of controling calories.

I read alot of the articles on this guys blog

    http://bradpilon.com/brads-blog/

And this guy also has some very interesting stuff

    www.johnbarban.com

He even does a bodybuilding competition and the only diet advice he recommends is to eat less, eat what you want just eat less and use fasts to help you do this

    no

    6 meals a day
    No massive amounts of protein
    No pre post workout drinks
    No Cardio

As far as working out is concerned he recommends 4 training sessions over a a 7 day period

I am not necessarily saying hes 100% right but its nice to get a different take on things

Once you start eating normally (ie healthy) you will end up putting all the weight you lost back on. Weight loss is a gradual process like nearly everything else with the body and progressing in life. There is no quick fix.

I have done two medium length fasts (14days) in the past 16 months. I had done a lot of research and fasting to improve my mental health was the main reason. I did lose considerable weight in that time but put it back on the following weeks. I did over indulge the first time after coming off the fast.

It was for mental health reasons i did the fast and that was where I noticed the best results. In the following weeks i had less nerves, better concentration and more logical thinking. There is plenty of information out there www.fastingconnection.com is the site i most frequent.
