    Hello,

I am wondering if anyone could advise on any good gyms around cork city. I am not looking for a serious gym just somewhere to lose some weight, get fit etc.

I have seen a few of them that are doing a few deals, but don't want to join somewhere just because they the cheapest.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

I joined Riversedge, because it was the nearest to me, it was the cheapest, and it had everything I wanted: treadmills, variety of weights, crosstrainer, free classes, nice instructors who help you when you have a question. Showers and changing area is clean. Equipment isnt fancy and no pool...who cares? I didnt, but some people would. If you're uncertain, go into any gym and ask to look around first, they would be mad not to help you out.

I'd agree with redonblonde, I took a tour of 3 gyms before settling on Source Fitness, the one closest to me :p (ok, it was a bit of a factor, but they also have everything I wanted in terms of extras and facilities)

I was a member of Fitnessworx in Douglas before moving to Dublin. I'd definitely recommend it, if you want to lose weight the instructors there are a great help.
