    Hi Guys,

    Long time no see.

I used to play way too much mw2 and blops to have a normal life but I moved house and ps3 went to the back of the mind and no internet etc etc, recently started back playing. All was going well until today when I updated my ps3 - long update, like 5 months since the last one.

Anyway, Looking forward to some online shennanigans when I load up mw2 and no sound - Check connections, clean disc etc etc on-off - nada, ps3 startup sounds are working, but no game sounds.

As the ps3 sounds are fine, i blame the disc. Take it out pop in Blops.

    Same issue....

Anyone any ideas, It may be a laser read issue maybe? I dunno if the startup sounds are "read" the same way.

    Any help appreciated.

    Ardinn.

This could be a long shot.
Do you use a headset or was using one. The sound output could be setup for a headset.

The hdmi cables may be analogue or digital - The problem lies in the television, you need to fiddle with the sound configuration for the input channel - being careful not to mess up the whole settings for the telly - Easily enough in the end all I did was switch to analogue, then back to digital :D but if you google sound problems ps3 on google ~(obviously enough) you'll get a better idea - I was pretty drunk when I was at it!
