Is myprotein.co.uk still one of the cheapest?!

Looking at discount supplements and it's 95 quid for a 4.5kg bag of protein. You can get 5kg of higher quality protein delivered off myprotein for like 76 quid.

This guy Here tried all the flavors.

Although taste is subjective, i still think strawberry and banana is a good bet.

I had the choc mint one last time, and it was nice, just got bored of it.

Ive been using www.fitnessireland.ie for the past year or so. Find them reasonable enough & quick to deliver. It's free delivery over a certain amount (not sure what the amount is) but I've bought items for 30 euro & it's been free delivery each time.

100% right, but you can incur a Postage charge for items under the advertised amount (or so they mention on their website). But again I've bought items for 30 or less & it's always been delivered free :D

To be honest, most of ON's flavours are a bit crap. They defo changed chocolate in the last year. Good protein though a bit expensive.

Like Hanley says you can get a good quality bulk powder much cheaper.

Had both, both very good. But to each his own.

    I use bulkpowders.co.uk

Good value and quick delivery considering it's from the UK.

Chocolate and vanilla flavour are decent (for those interested in flavour) but for value/quality/taste it's well worth investigating.

Best value by far is discountsupplements.co.uk. 6kg Whey ( in about 6 flavours) only 49.99. Plus free delivery to Ireland. Beat that!

not very patriotic but found some of the stuff on
monstersupplements.com
worked out cheaper than the irish sites even after shippping

What whey are you buying? Nutrisport 90+?

Ha, I was wondering that too. That nutrisport stuff is a taste I'd rather forget

There is a 6 kilo tub on there for 65 i think, but there's only 21g protein per 30g serving. Bulkpowders has 24.6 g per 30g serving at less than €60 per 5kg tub. Delivery is a bit expensive (€10 maybe) but if you're ordering a few bits (i get choc and vanilla protein/creatine/fine oats) the savings are significant.

Used to use myprotein till they started screwing us Irish on price.

Thumbs up for discountsupplements.ie too, the guys in the shop in Clondalkin are very friendly and helpful, and their prices for branded products are competitive.

Local butcher is still the best place for protein though....

Only one I can see thats even sold in 6kg bags is this one for 64.99:

    http://www.discount-supplements.co.uk/?fh_eds=%C3%9F&fh_view_size=60&fh_usertype=welcome&omitxmldecl=yes&fh_secondid=xln02d16607&fh_lister_pos=10&fh_location=%2f%2froot%2fen_GB%2fonpromotion%3E{protein20sale}&fh_refview=lister

I wouldn't worry too much about the lower amount of protein, only 2g less per 30g than the one I usually get from myprotein.

Does the free UK delivery extend to Ireland?

The way I see it, that product is 70% protein whilst myProtein's is 82%. Therefore, on a gram by gram basis, myProtein's product is worth at least 1/7th more.

    If the above 6kg product is €65 (€54 for 5kg), then 5kg of myProtein's is worth €54 / 70 * 82 = €63.

As myProteins product is €71.29, the above product is a better buy if price is your only concern.

If you're not worried about the €8 price difference, myProtein is the superior choice because it contains more protein and less calories in each serving.

It also depends on how often you take it - remember that if you're taking a 30g serving every day, a 5kg bag will last you 24 weeks (almost 6 months). In this case, I'd choose quality over price any day.

Ordered from myprotein Monday afternoon, it arrived this morning. Don't get much better than that.

Think I'm going to order this Impact Blend instead of my usual Impact Whey Protein. Simply because there's a free bag of 5kg Instant Oats thrown in. I've always found it fairly handy to throw in 50g oats, 50g whey, some milk and a few ice cubes into a blender and drink as a shake as a pretty decent breakfast. Tastes like dog food when mixed but can't beat it for speed!

I use the impact blend deluxe as it has some milk protein in it. I love it with instant oats and milk in the morning. I just a blender bottle and chug it back. Though I love thick shakes and hate cleaning my blender :D
