With the Madden 12 thread over in the American Football forum, thought might as well start one here for people to play against each other, maybe set up a Boards Soccer cup, or league.

I'd say everyone knows about that thread but I don't like using it as I'm sure many others don't either, I think it would be nice to have a thread over here for Fifa 12 too, even if it is just a less frequently used thread.

They better deliver on the PC game this year after saying they will.
As a PC only gamer for such a big game to put out the shìt they do every year is a disgrace.

It'll be the exact same this year. (except PC will have better graphics)

Last year they used the new engine but without all the extras like personality+ etc.

No it isn't, FIFA is as piss easy and one dimensional as it always has been. PES still pwns it gameplay wise, just as it always has done since the ISS days.

The last good pes game was 6.

And tbh, pes is easier, run down the wing and cross it in = goal.

I stopped buying PES after 6, it turned into one of the worst football games I've ever played. Fifa 08 was when FIFA started getting a lot better than it.

PES 6 was the last good PES games. The current gen of PES games have nothing on the previous generation games besides graphics as far as I'am concerned.

FIFA has improved no doubt about it. Still easy, pick up and play game. But again, doesn't compare to the ISS-PES6 days.

Drawing point for me re: FIFA is Pro Club. That's the only thing I play in FIFA. 1 vs 1's interest me very little what with the typical 1 vs 1 player being a complete waster. Rage quitting, all defensive and counter only football. Boring. edit - with everyone you play against picking 5* teams - Man U, Barca and Real namely -_-

I'll hopefully be getting Fifa 12. Went back to playing Fifa 10 after borrowing Fifa 11 for a while and feels really weird. Don't like on the online team play how you can't play as your pro.

I'll be on PS3 so would like to join the league here.

Bit of a grind getting your virtual pro stats up, but it is really worth it if you're part of a good team and everyone is pretty much in sync be it movement, passing, tracking back or whatever and getting results.

True but improving by reaching the achievement milesstones is better than the EXP points you used to get. I think I got my pro's ratings up to the 90's in one season with that system. Too pointless.

At least trying to get headers or score from 40 yards out keeps you trying. Been stuck on rebounds off the post for ages!

One problem with improving judged on general play is getting the computer to judge what good general play is. I don't like the positioning thing that it has as I'm always out of position even though I'm creating chances and playing well defensively. Arguably counting assists, tackles, goals, etc is the best way to judge if someone has played well, which is mostly what the achievements system does.

I will be getting it on PS3.

I hope they go back to the fast passing like Fifa 10. Very annoying that it was easier to do a Paul Scholes rocket pass instead of a through pass on the ground.

Only thing that annoys me about fifa is in manager mode where the other clubs dont really buy other players in a realistic fashion.....i was villa and united bought sidwell and fridel off me but never played either of them all season?(united came twelth that season also)

There is ways of getting around this a good bit quicker in FIFA 11.

Downloading the demo for PC (I more than meet the minimum specs) and everything installed. But I get a "fifaconfig has stopped working" message when I try to run the demo. Annoying.
