    You could use the 'deltree' command using cmd.

    Examples

    deltree c:\fake010

    Deletes the fake010 directory and everything in it.

    Nothing worked.

    Then I read a simple solution that did work.

    Simply drill down through the files in the folder and delete them one at a time.

    After all the files and subfolders were deleted, the main folder could be deleted also.

    Took 2 minutes.

    Worth remembering.
