I am looking for a new gym so would like to hear where you guys train and why you like it?

My previous gym was Raw, no complaints! Great gym, location my only issue because of parking.

Tried westwood last week and was not impressed.

Really like their pool area but thats about it.

In my garage.... Used to train in a local Donegal gym but got fed up on waiting for equipment or people waiting on me to finish using equipment - if I want a 4-5 minute rest between sets, then that's what I now take without the dirty looks :D

I'll train hard for the next 2 months and then I'll be seeing plenty for 3 weeks on Bondi Beach :D

I'm all body weight exercises these days - can't afford a gym. So it's parks, roads and the back garden for me!

That's a pretty cool link! Thanks. I don't think I'll ever get round to making any of them though, maybe a sandbag but that's it!

In a local Donegal gym, where I give dirty looks to anyone taking long rests in between sets*

    *I don't do that.

I used to train in RAW then when I moved house and changed jobs I was using the gym at work for a bit, but it's way too busy at peak time and I was getting serious gym rage from the sheer stupidity I was witnessing each time so I joined Ironside and I love it. I also train out in South Dublin Strength and Conditioning every few weeks and I also love it out there too.

Dunno if you have read it already but theres a Gym Reviews thread which has alot of information in it.

    How do you find it?

What's Dave's new place like since the move? Obviously it's a step up from the garage, but size wise parking wise how is it??

Its bigger than the "hurt locker" alright, more equipment and more on the way. I think parking is still a bit of a nightmare tbh but probably easier to come by, I don't drive so it's not an issue for me.

Cheers duder, I've seen the pics but can't gauge the size off of them! I'll have to get my lazy ass down there to check it out myself! The hurt locker had so much character! The landlord was such a tool though!!
