This is just a run of the mill weather system at the moment. The remains of Katia will be following behind.

Aye but it's looking like this run-of-the-mill system will have more effect that Katia. She's heading Northwards.

Winds will be stronger than today more than likely, but bar a sudden change of track it will be nothing nobody hasn't seen before. I'll just have to wait until deeper into the winter for my storms :(

the storm will not hit us fully until monday between 12pm and 4pm, this wind today is from a different storm depression as there are a few of them playing around the west coast. also it is too early to predict the wind strength that will hit us and tracking of this storm as it could change direction at the drop of a hat. there will be an update on this storm at 9pm rte news.

That was hilarious. Tell us where you're from so that we can make wild, unfounded assumptions about an entire town.

Its only a cat 1 right now. Although it is over water and that means it will grow in intensity, right? or is it covering much too far of a distance and will probably die out by the time it gets here?

Anyway, it doesn't look like its going to get here until another 2 days or so and even at that its predicted to travel far above Northern Ireland, but a slight chance it could pass over actual land remains.

Sea temperature has to be much higher to remain a tropical storm. It will transform into a stronger than normal version of our usual wet and windy weather systems.

We should show this hurricane our world renowned Irish hospitality. Sure wouldn't it take our minds off the recession.
