After eliminating common causes of dark circles I now suspect mine are caused by poor circulation.

How can I improve my circulation?

So far I have aerobic exercise and alternating hot and cold water on my eyes.

    Thanks.

You need to rub eye cream in them, 25 times both directions on both eyes morning and night.

I thought rubbing eyes made things worse?

    Key words being 'eye cream'.

Lightly with the tip of your ring finger rub the cream around your eyes in light circles.

Ah ok, and 25 times each direction.

Any recommendation for a suitable eye cream?

Any idea how long to get rid of pretty bad circles if it is caused by poor circulation?

The women get this in my family, and it's generally down to diet... Specifically, iron intake.

Could I ask, what common causes have you ruled out so far?

Anemia due to taking iron supplements and eating more red meat for the last 2 months (had anemia in childhood)

dehydration, drank minimum 3 litres water daily for 2 months

    dont add salt/ to food

    its not heridetary

i do smoke 5 cigs a day and diet is not great but its a work in progress

Have you had your eyes tested? Do you spend a lot of time at a laptop?

Eyesight is not great and I avoid wearing glasses when possible.

4 hours each day at the computer roughly.
