    Hi Everyone,

I have a back problem (fused vertabrae in my upper spine) and just started work today. The chairs are really bad and quite sore after day one! Could anyone here recommend a back support that I could wear under my shirt that would not be seen and easy to put on?

    Thanks in Advance

Mods: not too sure if in the right forum, going with the Health title on it. Feel free to move if necessary

Might not be the same in every company but I dislocated my SI joints playing football before and when I got back to work I asked if I could get a chair with better back support.. Health & Safety officer got on to it straight away! I was only working there a month or so when it happened

    Might be worth asking!

If the type of work you do requires constant sitting and is a job in which you have just returned to, a new risk assessment should be carried out and adequate control measures adapted, taking your back condition into consideration. You have a legal entitlement under Health and Safety legislation.
