    I have low iron and I just wanted to know if any body could recommend a good supplement. I was taking spa tone but apparantely its not string enough. The doc advised me to take Galfer but he also said its hard on the stomach. Any iron supplements that are easy on the stomach but are effective? Thanks

    Unless you are pregnant, you probably won't notice it as being hard on the stomach. Pregnant women complain about it, most people don't notice.

    My doctor recommended Spatone. She says that it's absorbed more easily by the body, so you don't need as high a dose. I don't like the aftertaste, but I do feel a lot better since I started on it a couple of months ago.

    She recommended taking two sachets a day until my iron levels are high enough, and then taking a sachet a day for a week every month or so. She's going to check it in a few months and if it hasn't increased then we can rethink.

    The best iron supplement is Hema-Plex made by Natures plus. Really good quality iron with added vitamins and minerals to aid absorption. Great for energy and non constipating.

    That looks perfect. Where can I get them?

    Popeye the Sailor was ahead of his time! Spinach provides vitamins A, C, and K;
    B vitamins including folate and riboflavin; and the minerals iron, calcium, magnesium,
    manganese, potassium, copper, phosphorus, zinc, and selenium. Vitamin C
    helps the body make use of the iron found in spinach. Although cooking reduces
    the vitamin C, it helps make the iron more bioavailable in other ways, so spinach is
    a better source of iron when cooked.
    from the 2000 superfoods that will save your life, great book can be found on tpb
