I didn't see a thread about this so I made my own. Who else is going to the HEAR orientation on the 12th? Is anyone staying on campus like myself?
I'm considering filling out the early arrival form for Trinity Hall so I don't have to leave to come back the next day.

I'm going too. But I think I'll come back on Thursday and get into Trinity Hall on Friday.:)

Heading there too. Gonna fill out the early arrival form. Donegal and back is just a tad too far to be travelling just to get a bed to sleep. Anyone know how to pay the fee for early arrival? I assume you don't just stick it in the envelope with the form. epay?

How odd, everyone is this thread is from Donegal! I believe its paid the same way the rent and utilities charges are paid. The page should update with the new charge. I just sent in the form by e-mail

Yeah, I'm heading to it too!! I live in Dublin (County) so I'll just be commuting each day :p Look forward to seeing everyone

I heard in Dublin people move around in great yokes called "buses", instead of riding tractors pulled by a dozen sheep! How mad is that.

In a serious note, me and thysol are meeting up to get the bus down to Dublin on Sunday. If anyone else is using the bus we could have a merry little group

A bus? But how do they show their wealth and prowess if they can't compare Masseys?

Which bus are you going on? mc ginley or bus eireann? I mighht be going in the car but if not sounds like a plan

Anyone have any idea what we'll be doing once we get there?

The 1 o clock bus eireann leaving from Donegal Town seems the most suitable.
And I shall of course be wearing the full skin of a stag I killed and butchered with my bare hands to prove my manly prowess

So you're first stop will be Phoenix park to locate said stag?

Donegal towns a bit outa my way, I'd be getting a LK bus, but sure I'll see you down there :)

For those of ye that don't know http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buses :p

We could always have a tractor drive to Dublin some weekend to show off our Manly Masseys

Unfotunately, I live a good deal north of Donegal town so will prob end up travelling on the McGinley bus. I'm sure I'll meet some of ye Donegal folk down there ;)

Sure put on a Donegal accent and we won't know the difference ;)
Is it coincidence that the thread on an access program for disadvantaged people has been taken over by Donegal wans? :p

Anybody know what forms we have to bring with us? Is it the forms that had to be downloaded from the HEAR site or is it the supporting documents we had to send with them (eg p60/social welfare forms etc.)?

I emailed them and they said the originals of the doctors forms and accounts and stuff. But they never sent me back thise sheets in the 1st place.

If you email them they'll send you back a copy of your application and tell you what to bring.

If you sent off a P60 along with those forms you should probably take one of those too, just incase. If you send them an e-mail they will send you a pdf of all the forms you need :)

    I'll be there
    Not staying over though,
    I live in Dublin
    However,
I'll be going a step further and luas'ing it ;]

I don't have any forms to bring with me
Are they just the origianl HEAR fom we filled in on the CAO site?
If yeah I suppose i'll just print it off,
Although in the letter I got from TCD it said nohing about forms, just supporting documents? [p60, p21, separation agreement etc?]

I hate to put a dampner on things, but I think it might've only been ucd who did that because everyone was made stay over so they might've done it just to get them their food...

I cant find one of the original forms. Just hava a copy of it. It said in the thing that they can throw you out of the HEAR programme if you don't have originals with you. Does that mean your dead if they check and discover that you only have a copy?

I emailed them to say that I only have a copy of my dad's P21, but that I've reapplied to get the original one sent out. It takes 5 working days to get it, so they said it was okay for my to bring it to the HEAR office next weekend instead. I'd say if you email them, they won't mind as much :) Did you actually send them the original though? In that case, you don't need it.

I sent them the original of the orange medical card thing where an health official had to put a stamp on. I don't think they ever sent it back, thats why I only have a copy.

Then you're fine, you just have to email them to say that you sent the original to the CAO, and they won't expect you to have it
