Harrington is out just before 6pm Irish time, needs a top 30 or so to progress in the FedEx Cup.

After an early bogey he (Harrington) is on a run of 3 birdies in a row.

Many eagles have been scored on the 18th so he should get at least a birdie there.

On hole 2 Harrington hit his ball to "native area", that is one I have never heard before. He also bogeyed the hole to go back to -2.

That is a bug with the play-by-play.

It goes (for example):
Shot 1: 300 yards to left fairway
then
Shot 1: 0yds to green, 15ft from hole
Shot 1: putt 15ft, 1ft from hole
Shot 1: in the hole

Harrington is playyng poorly on the front 9, a bogey so far and he has a 25ft putt for par on 9. Hopefully he can have a good back 9, which is easier.

He bogeyed 9 andis back to level par, meanwhile snedeker got a hole in 1 on 16 and eagled 18.

Paddy birdied the 14th so is back to -1 but he's 78th in the fedex cup rankings, and I think he should be aiming to get in the top 50 to give him a chance of progressing past the next tournament.

Very poor round by Paddy, 2 over par in all. He also bogeyed the 18th, which is very rare on this course.

He made the cut. That's about the only positive that can be said after the first two rounds. He needs two strong rounds to progress to the BMW.

He will have an early start, playing with Rory Sabbatini.

Can't imagine rory and his wife are happy bout that,actually paddy won't be happy either,one things for sure they won't both play well,might back paddy in the 2 ball market as he will frustrate the hell out of him.

EDIT: And after a great drive on the par 5 2 he hits the water and has a drop 17yds from the hole, says the play-by-play. Hopefully he can get the par.

EDIT: The play-by-play says he hit it 125 yards instead. It's really messing up for both him and Sabbatini.

Harrington now -1 after 13, projected 88 place in the FedEx cup. Needs to step on the gas. Sabattini + 2 for the day playing alongside Harrington.

Yeah Harribgton needs to birdie 2 of the last 4 to have any chance of staying in the fedex cup. Not impossible. 3 birdies for a bit more safety.

Harrington finishes 1 under par, he'll need a big effort (at least -4 methinks) tomorrow to get in the top 70. Also, I noticed he got a huge amount of pars today, he scored 15 pars.

Looking at Paddys scorecards there and if he had played the par 5s anyway decent he'd be in with a great shout of making next week. A good few 6s and only 1 birdie. So frustrating.

Yeah he probably needs to shoot 4 under today at a guess. Or as someone else posted, finish no worse than around 30th in the tournament.

Another 6 on a par 5 today. Also according to shot tracker, it looks like he chunked his approach from 107yds on the 1st. Doesn't look great but a chance on the 4th hole fingers crossed.

Harrington has played the par 5s 14 shots worse than Bubba this week.....and hes 11 behind him. Shows you where he has gone wrong

In fairness Bubba had 2 eagles, and on hole 18 an eagle isn't that hard if you're playing well.

Now the focus shifts to McDowell, my favourite player from the North, he probably needs a birdie in the last 3 to make it into the top 70, thankfully 18 is a good birdie chance.
