Turbo trainer quick question - ok to use regular wheel/tyre short term?

Just invested in my first turbo trainer - Tacx Satori - awaiting delivery

Quick question - I'm a little smashed so will have to wait till next month's paycheck to get a spare wheel / cassette / turbo tyre sorted - I'm assuming I'm good to go with what'll arrive in the box for the next month?

I used my normal tyre for a while and had no issues other than the odd wheel slip at high motor resistance. Other than that you should be grand for a while. It will wear down though.

just make sure you click the roller fully up against the wheel. Couldn't understand why the garage was filling with smoke and there was a smell of burning rubber one day until I turned around and put my hand on the tyre. Ouch!!! It was slipping over the roller rather than driving the roller and starting to melt!
