    Hey guys,
    So I have a problem!
I tried the "limit the audience for past posts" and went through with it. Thinking it just hides old posts???????

    After,

In the new privacy settings, the "connect with people", it says friends can post and see my wall.
Yet, when I use "view as" and type in a friends name( ive tried different people and it comes up the same) there is no option to post on my wall from theire point of view:confused:
And theres no like options/comment options either.

I have tried and checked settings. View as - couple of times! Logged in, logged out!!!!

What the hell like! The instructions are pathetic!

Anyone else in the same boat??
Anyone else know how to fix it ?

That only lets you see your wall as they see it, it doesn't give you posting options. Its to help you make sure that you have your post privacy set up right, so you can ensure that people who aren't supposed to see certain posts can't and that those who are can.

My Wall is now visible to the public. It doesn't have any posts on it but now you can see and click on Wall (as a non friend) whereas previously you could not. I did not change this and cannot find an option to hide the wall.

I haven't posted anything new on it but presumably it won't show up if I limit it to friends only? I have noticed other Walls that were previously private are now visible and also empty. Anybody have any info on this?

Why do you want to hide it? Whether you show no wall or whether you show a wall with no posts, what possible difference could it make? Do you not want people knowing you even have a wall? I'm pretty sure they can guess

Your wall can be viewed but the content on the wall can only be viewed by those who you have allowed through your privacy settings.

You now have the option of making some posts 'public' so anybody can see them. So your wall has to be available to see the Public content.

Correct. You can see the wall but the content viewable on the wall is restricted.

i just got a facebook request from someone in a professional capacity that i don't want thumbing through my photos and reading any mental crap i wrote on the page etc. With the new privacy setting can i stop him from seeing all that sort of stuff i wrote in the past???:eek::rolleyes:

Decline the request! You've no obligation to accept it if you are not comfortable with it.

Perhaps link in with him or her over on LinkedIn?

You can exclude people from certain activity bit you could be all day making these complex exclusions.

These exclusions have indeed become so complex that I've completely forgotten who's in the different segmented friends lists.

Na i want to accept it. It's just that it's a different relationship than my friends and I don't have linkedin. One social network is difficult enough to navigate.

Is it possible to set it up so he can't read some of my past comments on other peoples' stuff?
