Can I safely delete contents of this folder ?
It's taking up 1.21 GB of my very old PC.
What am I deleteing ? Will I lose all the saved website addresses in my Favourites ?
Have a Dell Dimension 8200 from 2002 with Windows XP and know not much about computers. Thanks.

For an old PC I would also recommend a good CCleaner scan regularly as it will get rid of unwanted files and speed up your PC a bit :)

You can set CCleaner to run automatically at start up:

[1] Go to 'Options' -> 'Settings' and tick the option to 'Run CCleaner when the computer starts'

[2] In 'Advanced' I also have unticked the option to 'Only delete files in Windows temp folders older than 24 hours' as well.

    Edit:
A few years ago I was asked to sort out a friends PC for them. First thing I did was to install the then current version of CCleaner on the machine and set it up the way I described in [2] above. I think it took about 45 minutes for it to iterate through all the junk that had accumulated on his machine. There was about 15 GB of crap to be deleted.

On an old slow computer I certainly wouldn't do that. Once a week would be fine.

It would only slow down the startup even further, which you don't want when it's already slow :)

Having deleted them all just set your browser not to save any history.
