I dont see any value in DB at moment at moment...

I like your picks El LoCo Ade....Villegas could be interesting in particular..

Might leave this week alone although I like this event will see if can get my selections matched if not leave it alone.

Looking at past form over this course it looks like you'll need to shoot very low to win, with -22 been the winning score last year and also in 2008. So to me key stats this week could be GIR and Scoring average.

Piercy @ 100/1 with Stan James. Piercy is in good form with only one missed cut in his last five competitions and in the other four competitions he finished 1st, T6, T13 and T26. GIR he rates 105 and for scoring average he's 41. But I just too big of odds for a guy who's in form.

Bo Van Pelt @ 100/1 with 365. Bo is 20th in GIR and 24th in Scoring average and his form to date isn't that bad with a T24 last week and T23,T6 & T57 before missing the cut at the PGA. Only problem is I'm not sure if he could shoot a -22.

Toms @ 55/1. I think this is huge for the 2nd best all rounder for the season. He's 2nd in GIR, 4th in driving accuracy and 8th in scoring average. He has performed well after missing the cut before so I wouldn't pay attention to last week.

I like one more player but haven't yet decided how to bet on him. I'll edit my post when I had my bet.

Going for e/w bets on andres romereo @100/1 and ricky barns @175/1 with pp. andres can be a birdie machine when on form and ricky aswell.

Looking forward to the Omega Masters. Always has been one of my favourite tournaments due to the course being unbelievably scenic :)

Romero is a good choice alright. Had a few times this season and a couple of occasions as gone close. Might consider him now and follow the European Tour in live betting possibly.

Played it a few years back for a pretty penny during the summer. Pictures on tv do it little justice really. Special place.

    .

best of luck with your picks but i do think you're over doing it with the stats, each week i look back on the results of both tours and analyse each winner backwards (if that makes sense)
My conclusion is that you can pretty much(esp this season as the rookies are getting stronger each year, esp on the mental side)throw stats out the window, the winner will more often that not be top 5 in putting, scrambling and gir(or 2 out of 3)
That's not to say i don't agree with you for example with Toms this week,he has a great chance but as we all know it's golf so anything can happen.

After all that i havn't picked anyone yet for the u.s but in Switz i'm going for
    Garrido @66/1
    Storm @125/1
    Ramsey @70/1
    All e/w 1st 6 places

Oh I know that, all the players I back I think are value (I think the price on Toms and Van Pelt are huge compared to a couple of weeks ago) and then I see of they have stats that help me. This week you will need birdies so win so you need to know your golfer can go low and thats the most important thing really.

Gudede,I think they can all go low tbh,
Anyway, added jbe kruger @175/1 and backed Donald win only and small doubles with my euro picks ,just in case

Taking a punt this weeek that Jiminez will have enough energy and determination to give it a go in europe on a course he plays really well,40 to 1 on betfair 33s with the books.Ive had a score ew and will pick my us selection later tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,461 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

Going to stay away from States this week cant seem to get few players matched and after that dont really see too much value.

    might wait till in play

Good luck to everybody, hope its good one

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 79 ✭✭seathestar

No strong views, will wait to the weekend see how things are shaping. Will do one for now.

    Deutsche Bank
    Cameron Tringale Win/Place

Been doing him the last couple of months, going to stick with him a bit longer as hes been showing glimpes of form. Shot -8 2nd round last week after +3 round to start. Can get the birdies when in form so im hoping he can string a few rounds together and give me a bit of a run!

    Good Luck! :D

Hopeful punt on G Ogilvy 75 to 1 betfair 55-60 to 1 with the books,he blows a bit hot and cold but he likes the track and could be worth a few bob

went big on mcilroy everything in switszerland will go 10% longer on drives so it will be wedges into pins for him so he will be pin hunting early could make eagles on par 5s easy

that's great and all and yes it helps on the par 5's for sure but have you actually ever seen the course on tv before????you don't need to be long here,i'd be worried about his ability to hole out consistantly and for that reason......................... IM OUGHT.
But in fairness his distance control with his irons will help big time.

with his distance he will be firing in wedges to holes thats what im saying

Easy to say now that he's -4 after 12 but it is looking ominous for the rest of the field with Rory blazing a trail. I'd like to see him and Westwood battle it out.

Went a couple of euro on Horsey 120/1 and Coles 220/1 on betfair for a quick fortune.

Jason Day for me in the Deutsche Bank.

Yeah thinking about signing up too, looks like a decent deal.
As a matter of interest The_Kew_Tour did you name yourself after the horse?? He won me a few quid in recent years :D:D

It normally has sky sports 1 on it.

Not sure if it shows other sky sports channels cause they vary what they show at times.

I was able to watch the PGA Championship on it all week cause was on Sky Sports 1. They also have Sky Sports news and Racing on too.

Dont think they have Golf if its on different channel e.g Sky Sports 2-3 but they will show big events.(Majors and WGC)

I get it cause much cheaper then getting Sky Sports for month as I like the football too.

I got good deal of 7.32euro for 5 months think be little bit more expensive now, but you do save quiet a bit

Not sure if works on phone etc just works on my laptop and in work, sorry cant help on that one.

Would you believe I did:pac:. I think he only horse I ever went into bookies with and backed him to win without knowing anything.

I was with a mate at time and we just had back it as the name won us over. He won. I think price was 12/1 at time

Not really big horse fan from betting perspective anymore(used be in college) still enjoy them but he one of my favs:)

Best named horse ever! Similar to you I stick to the golf bets these days....at least you get 2 and sometimes 4 days out of it :-)

Westwood just went 2-3-2 on three par 4's!!!

I wasn't referring to your post jjll as I didn't read it before posting, it was more in the context "Not to state the obvious here, but it's looking ominous....."

I have full faith in your predicting abilities and you shouldn't feel the need to vindicate them to anyone :D

Brother had Nick Docherty @ 210-1 to be leader after first round. 9 quid on with betfair. Plus 10 @ 670(i think) to win the tourney. Unreal, what a day. Will be shouting for him this weekend.:D

great bet, hope it all comes in. was looking at his price on betfair before start and taught he was well worth putting a few euro on him as he had to get back to form sometime soon, no funds on betfair:mad:
