Hello, time to go back to Uni now and avail of cheap gym fees again.

I need to get fit for football as I want to start playing with my local side when I finish my final year.

I joined a Gym last year, but to be honest, I wasn't sure of what my goals were. I'd go on the Treadmill and run for 10 mins. Do some weights and go for a swim. Luckily there are not many patrons at this gym so I wasn't using up valuable space :P.

I haven't properly played football in over a decade. I'm 23 now, thin(ish) and, well, just not match fit at all.

I know I can go out there to kick about, but considering what is available at the gym, what are essential workouts for a quick action sport with lots of starting and stopping?

    Cheers.
