    Sexist post is sexist!

They are the business, I love them. Not like crappy sandwich toasters where the cheese oozes out. I put my sandwich in the microwave for about 15 seconds before hand to melt the cheese and it turns out perfect.

I prefer the George Foreman toasties.
better than the auld sandwich makers of years ago. IMO.
    Never liked the toaster bags.

You got the town right.. so that's something.

But with a name like "Cairns Rad", how could it possibly be "douchey"?

because its generally doucheys twats that come from that end of the town. Lower middle class arseholes living on the edge of Cranmore.

Pompous divs that submerge themselves in sci-fi geekdom and computer hack-whackery.

George Forman only way to go making toasties!!!

Don't complicate the toasty...nicest way is to just make a sandwich out of 2 slices of normal toast so the filling doesn't go all melty. ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,443 ✭✭✭Bipolar Joe

Are you some sort of communist? The melty bit is the best bit!

How do the toaster bags manage to always manage to pump smoke round the kitchen?

No no no, you have it all wrong BJ  Melting the cheese to that high of a temperature just gives burny lip and then you can't enjoy the rest of the sambo following the first bite.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 657 ✭✭✭Sooopie

cheddar cheese is the best cheese for toasties imo, followed closely by swiss.

What sort of little squished up sammidges do you guys make? There's no way my sammidges would fit into the little holes of a toaster.

    Under the grill/broiler FTW!

    Good hunk of bread.
    Butter.
Bout 3 or 4 good slabs of ham, or hapes of bacon, if making a bacon sammidge. If you don't like bacon, get out.
    Salad, if yore a poshy.
    Termatters.
    Cheese.
    Nunion, red is good.
More bacon, if a bacon sammidge. In fact, I don't know of any sammidge that doesn't benefit from some bacon.
    More butter.
    Nudder bit of bread.

Chuck it under the broiler, toast. Turn it over. Toast it again. Cut. Eat. Leave plate somewhere for herself to find, and wash up.

    Jobs a good'un.

but theres alot of effort involved of lifting the thing out of the cupboard, so me like toasty bags.......the cheese doesnt melt the same of the grill:)
