Hey thinking of buying a cube aerial for the tallaght cycle superstore and I was wondering when next years models will be released?
Also i was thinking should i wait for them to come out or stall for a while and hope the bike gets reduced in price?
Any ideas or suggestions would be massively appreciated!

They were announced at Eurobike last year so good chance same this year, hard to know when shops will get physical bikes but if you want tone id say you will need to order one and wait for it to come in to get it as im sure demand will be high. On the up side id say a 2011 bike will be discounted.

As the previous poster said , Eurobike is the offical launch . 2012 model MTB are already in some shops. Cant see too many shop offering discount on 2012 bikes , why would they need to do that yet. Check around Cube dealers , you just might get a 2011 bargin.

Having just bought a new bike, I can confirm all other new bikes that might have been better/cheaper/faster/lighter than mine have been cancelled.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Something for around three three in euro

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 8,679 Mod ✭✭✭✭Rew

The Agree GTC is pricier then I was hoping, Peloton Pro cheaper then I expected but there doesn't seem to be anything in between which is strange.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 193 ✭✭jiffybag

Peloton race , Peloton SL , Agree SL , Agree Pro are models all between Peloton Prro and carbon Agree GTC.

    Plenty to chose from .

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 8,679 Mod ✭✭✭✭Rew

Ahh right, the cube website is wrong so when ranked by price all thos emodels are much higher up the list

Hrmmmm An Agree SL would match the paint job of my LTD Race MTB... :D

Shops in Ireland don't seem to know anything about pricing yet/ any ideas when price and bikes are due

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 193 ✭✭jiffybag

Cube 2012 mountain bikes are in 'some' shops . Road bikes etc will follow shortly . All authorised Cube dealers should have a new 2012 pricelist. The new range is good to be superb!

Have they pushed up their prices do you think? Judging from some of the road bike prices you mentioned they seem to be OK.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 193 ✭✭jiffybag

Some of their prices have gone up slightly , but then again has'nt everything in the last 12months!! Labour , materials shipping etc.

Some models are actually cheaper than 2011 . The star of the bunch will be the new Agree Di2 Ultegra for under €3000!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 285 ✭✭butrasgali

I got a copy of the new price list today- agree d12 -2799
    Agree gtc - 2499
    Lightning super race - 3499
Text me for any of the prices

The Peloton was very popular last year, it was about €1000. What roadbike do they have in and around that price bracket this year?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 734 ✭✭✭twinsen

3 different versions of peloton ;)
    I have a 2011 one and i love it

I think there was just one Peloton model last year. I'm wondering what 2012's €1000 offering is.

If I'm looking at the right model, that super race looks fabulous - sram red and dt swiss carbons for 3499?

Stunning looking bike. How faithfully will Irish bike shops reproduce these "euro" prices?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 193 ✭✭jiffybag

Thats the recommended retail price , if the local Cube stockists is asking more for this bike then its best to shop around .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,554 ✭✭✭CH3OH

I had been thinking about buying an Attempt but it seems to be gone from the 2012 range?
There seems to be 4 models in the Peloton range now. Euro, Pro, Race and SL
Here's a link to a Dutch website with the specs. Not sure how the prices would travel to ireland.

    Well - here we go.

600 quid more, and only fulcrum racing 5's ...

    What gives?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 193 ✭✭jiffybag

Thats a 2011 model , did you notice its retail price is £3659 sterling . It should actually of had been £3500 .

2012 model has a new lighter frameset , Sram red and DT Swiss carbon hoops.

Jiffy- which one do you prefer the lightning race with the SRAM or the second dearest bike with dura ace Hpc sl lightning super- race is 3500 the sl is 3800

I know yeah, see my posts above - somebody said that the new model (with red and DT's) was going to be 3499.

-Was that 3499 sterling or something? Is that where I'm wrong?

  • Registered Users Posts: 285 ✭✭butrasgali

There is the peloton sl for 1399 and the race for 1150 euro

  • Registered Users Posts: 285 ✭✭butrasgali

    It's in euro

    :pac:

    FFS

    Thanks.

That seems like a fabulous mo-sheen and spec for that kind of money.

So I reiterate my original point then! There's CSS selling last years model with much more average wheels for 600 beans more @ 4099, when the recommended retail for the '12 bike is 3499 with sram red and spanky deepsection carbonio's.

Anyway, I have to say, like canyon's aero CF 9.0 SL (now down to 3349!!! I just checked it) it's great to see manufacturers selling bikes as pictured. -So if it's got mavic cosmics on it in the pic, then mavic cosmics come with it in the box, and ditto for the cube and the DT swiss's('s) :)

Very annoying to see bikes pictured on brochures and websites for sale with bling wheels on and Fulcrum 7's in the small print.

You wouldn't put up with that in the personal ads. DD-cup in the pics (AA in the small print)

agree gtc with di2 2799, now thats good deal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,558 ✭✭✭at1withmyself

After looking through the 2011 prices on both CRC and CSS websites the prices being quoted on this thread for the 2012 seem very low and are more then 10% cheaper then last years prices and as already pointed out with better componenets makes me wonder what the Irish and UK prices are.

Can I ask the two people quoting prices where they got them from - do you work in an Irish shop or are you just quoting from the German / Dutch websites?

I've emailed CSS for a price on the Agree Race and if it falls in with the cube website then I'll be getting one straight away (when available)! I'll share the price when I get a response.

Full a4sheet of the 2012 cube bikes prices given to me by the shop in Waterford

Hi . personal preference is for Shimano components but I do have the teamline bike at the minute . I like the white/red/blue colour scheme more so than the blackline . Those DT Swiss wheels make the Litening Race look classy . The Litening Race is probably better value for money at £3149 sterling . But is SRAM Red really as good as Dura Ace?

I have the pricelist as I'm a Cube dealer . Going to their dealer show tomorrow near Birmingham , plan is to take plenty of photos .

Personally I'd rate them on a par with each other. To buy as a stand alone groupset SRAM in my experience is usually dearer. To buy on a bike is a different story, some manufacturers want more for the sram red version of their bike and others more for the DA, all other components being equal.

Correct me if I'm wrong but sram is lighter too innit?

TBH at that level it's personal preference if you ask me.

The Comp series and LTD series MTB's are already avaiable and in some stores , the entry model road bikes (Peloton series) will be in around early October . Carbon Agree range is due in mid November . The Agree GTC Di2 Ultegra looks class , this will be sold out for 2012 in a few weeks as demand has been crazy so if you want to get one you will need to order it now . The same applies for the Agree GTC priced at £1259 , this model has seen huge interest and stock will be very limited .
Seen the Litening Super Race today , fully kitted out with Sram Red and DT Swiss wheels , looks like pro team kit. They didnt have the Dura Ace blackline version on display . But the Sram kitted bike will be a better buy in terms on looks and value for money.

  • Registered Users Posts: 285 ✭✭butrasgali

No date for the litening super race/ the one you saw today/ is the SRAM gearing system much different to shimano

  • Moderators, Home & Garden Moderators Posts: 1,928 Mod ✭✭✭✭karltimber

    Hi,

If I wanted an Agree Pro ( Alu) - would I want to be ordering soon or wait til they come out ?
When do you think that will be ?
    THanks
    K

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 193 ✭✭jiffybag

Litening Super Race will be available from October onwards but demand will also be high . If you really want one then its best option to pre-order it .You wont be dissapointed!

The Agree Alu bikes are generally a slow mover as they are nearly same price as carbon Agree models . Stock for this model is usually good all year .
