    Pot 1
    Tottenham Hotspur
    PSV Eindhoven
    Atlético Madrid
    Sporting CP
    Braga
    Schalke 04
    Dynamo Kyiv
    Paris Saint-Germain
    FC Copenhagen
    AZ
    Anderlecht
    FC Twente

    Pot 2
    Fulham
    Beşiktaş
    Hapoel Tel Aviv
    Metalist Kharkiv
    Standard Liège
    Rubin Kazan
    Club Brugge
    AEK Athens
    Steaua Bucureşti
    Udinese
    Athletic Bilbao
    Lazio

    Pot 3
    RB Salzburg
    Maccabi Haifa
    FC Zürich
    Odense
    Lokomotiv Moscow
    PAOK
    Birmingham City
    Stoke City
    Rennes
    Austria Wien
    Rapid Bucureşti
    Hannover 96

    Pot 4
    Vorskla Poltava
    Wisła Kraków
    FC Vaslui
    FC Sion
    Sturm Graz
    Maccabi Tel Aviv
    Slovan Bratislava
    Legia Warsaw
    NK Maribor
    AEK Larnaca
    Malmö FF
    Shamrock Rovers

A couple of surprise exits causes some teams to move up a pot. FC Sion may be chucked out for player irregularities i think.

Begs the question, would Rovers want to get a group like that or a group full of the bigger clubs?

theyre getting a million quid anyway, and theyll get full houses whoever they play youd imagine

why not look for the extra million or whatever they could get from a second round game against a really big gun

Exactly, i think they'd be delighted with Tottenham, Lazio & Austria Wien, the TV revenue alone from them teams would set them up for 10yrs.

Why take the chance of smaller teams and not going through when they can have the time of there life and earn a fortune

Spurs-Lazio-Rennes would be the marquee draw I would think.

Better off financially to draw the big clubs, they're probably gonna have to play their home games elsewhere to satisfy UEFA minimum requirements and sellouts are unlikely.

Would that scenario be good for the LOI in general? Rovers getting hammered by Spurs and Lazio wouldn't attract new fans after the games, just give them a massive financial advantage over the other teams in the LOI for years to come

I don't follow an LOI team, just wondering as I've read a lot of "this is good for the league" comments

afaik theyll get the same tv money whoever they play

itd definitely be better for the club and the league if they got a group that they had a reasonable chance of qualifying from imo

Teams from the same league are kept apart for the groups right?

Would be great to see Rovers getting an English side anyway, outside of that a couple of near Europe sides just to make the travelling a bit easier I suppose.

I thought for example drawing German teams meant more tv-money, due to the tv-deals there ?

Yes, there is no centralised TV contract (as opposed to say the CL), so you can make your own TV deals for each home game.

At least the bald guy and the other guy talking now are still there. LOI fans are usually just watching when its both of them in a small room drawing teams from the arsehole of Europe.

    BIG TIME BABY :pac:

No you can't. In Ireland for example only TV3 and Setanta can show Europa League games. TV3 get first pick IIRC.

Holy **** this is painfully slow.

I thought it was clear I meant the TV rights for foreign TV stations, as in you can barter between the various eligible German TV stations if you get Schalke, can barter between BBC/C5/ITV4 if you get Tottenham etc.

Accept the point re the home games, with RTE not allowed the options are limited.

    No longer want spurs' group.

Put Lazio in with athletico and then stoke in the same and I'll take that one.
