We have alot of his kit in our gym, top quality stuff. His kettlebell classes and instructor courses always got great feedback too, Mark is a sound lad would recommend him to anyone.

Yep, excellent, that's where I got all of my stuff from (KBs, sandbag, weight vest, gym rings and straps) all quality stuff. Met mark once, sound fella.

Didn't he have some free kettlebell offer before? Something like attend the day class and get a free kb? Is this the same guy?

Yep. The deal was if you attended the KB workshop which is a 3.5 hour thing, the price of the workshop included a free competition KB to take home. That's how I got my first KB :)

+1 on the comments above. They are a good place to deal with. Good quality equipment and good service.

I knew I remembered the name. I remember looking at it wondering what the catch was- like the kettlebell was actually a spacehopper painted black, but apparently it was just a savage deal.

+ another 1 recommending Mark. Good equipment, very reliable and his kb classes are great too.

There were a few old threads about them -all with good reports, I was mentioning that if you are strong enough I imagine you could give him a few more euro and get a heavier KB, rather than the "free" 16kg one at the training session. He also sold ones cheap with slight damage, like paint chips etc.

i bought a set from 8kg up to 32kg there recently, the competition ones.
Great equipment, would also reccommend them

Does anyone have a kettle bell handle?
For doem reason I think rubadun does, but he prob made it himself.

I'm sure they are the exact same for swings and such but what are they like for the likes of snatches and cleans. Are the fact that its plat loaded and not an evenly rounded ball make it more agressive on the forarms? I think it will tbh

The reason I ask is that I want to progress to the RKC standard of 100 snatches in 5 mins with a 24kg KB. I've done 100 reps with 16kg, but can't keep the work rate up with a 20kg KB. An 18kg one would serve me well here (or 17/18/19 progression with KB handle).

Failing that, I'll have to do 5 snatches every 30 seconds for 5 mins, the next time do 6 snatches etc.

Had good experience dealing with Mark for kettlebells.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has reports of the quality of the bumpers plates he sells?

some lad wanted ideas on what to do with empty protein containers and I posted a pic of a kettlebell made from one. I don't have one.

    Irish lifting do the handles

I imagine wider plates will get in the way of your arms in the upright position,

    Here is another design though

the centre of gravity is probably not optimal using these devices

Just found this one, looks like it would be far more suitable

Progress: 50 reps @ 20kg in 4.45 after a workout, was easy enough
I wish my gym would just buy 18kg and 22kg
