Just wondering if anyone could reccommend a good chiropractor in the Wicklow area?

    Thanks

I've had my time with physios and they've all warned against chiropractors. I heard this before I had to deal with physios.

My own rule of thumb is chiropractor - no / Osteopath - possibly.

I'd say a good osteopath is as rare as a good physio in this land though.

Wicklow town I presume, if so I can't.
Could you make it to Greystones though?

Thats a load of bollox. All disciplines have strengths & weakness, they also have good & bad practitioners. Over the years I've been to Physio's, Chiropractor's, Osteopath's, Accupunturist's & NMT's. I've had my best results with a certificate level NMT, followed by a good Dublin based (D.O) chiropractor, followed by an (MSC) osteopath. These have had more benefit they any reputeable degree level physio I've seen.

Ofcourse a physio is going to tell you not to see someone in another discipline, they've studied their method & are going to tell you their way is the best, as would any other practitioner.

OP Victor Megannety in Greystones is highly recommended by other Osteopaths I know. Maybe give him a shout!

No, it isn't. It's my opinion. Have you recommended a chiropractor or an osteopath?

The essence of my post was find a good osteopath, or physio, don't go to a chiropractor.

Physios are chartered medical professionals. They're not "practitioners", they're well trained professionals.

    Chiropractors are alternative "therapists".

So yeah, physios have the weight of scientific knowledge and education behind what they say when they warn someone off a chiropractor.

I can strongly recomend a chiropractor in Wicklow town. David Connor, South Quay, Wicklow Town. I found his number in the Golden Pages. Can't recomend the guy highly enough. Worth travelling down from Dublin to.
