Hi, Im currently going into fourth year and would like a bit of advice.
When I finish school, I would like to be a Gardá... Which way would I have to go about this? What subjects do i need to study in School? Do I need To go to college? How many points will i need? Is it hard to become a garda?

    Thanks in advance...

Have you had a look over in the Garda Recruitment forum. Some real helpful advice on applying etc in there.

Maybe brush up on the Irish/spelling. If you're serious maybe a course in law or sociology or similar could be an advantage but they will recruit from all backgrounds and no doubt the competition will be tough when they do decide to recruit again!

Points/CAO don't come into it but a decent Leaving Cert will do no harm.

When you are old enough consider joining the Garda Reserve.

I think you're better off going to college and getting some sort of qualification or learn a trade prior to applying to the Guards. You could be waiting a few years before being successful in your application.
