Have you ever given some-one you know your username on boards??

That wouldn't bother me. Unless there was something I admitted on boards which I wouldn't admit in public, or unless I've said something I regretted, which I don't think is the case.

As my username is part of my surname and I post about economics, anyone who knew me would probably guess that it was me posting anyway.

Fourth or Fifth reply was a post with Hi using my real life nickname. Never found out who it was either.

I don't think I'd mind. I don't want some of the people I know with kids to come on and think "jesus she must hate our children with all those over population, pro choice posts of hers."

This account was initially set up so that 3 of us, sharing the same computer, didn't have to continually log in and out. This account is often left open for hours, anyone visiting can see my username. Why the need for secrecy.

It takes about 5 seconds to log in, and less to log out.
